This short trek is easy and give a taste of typical traditions and lifestyle of Gurung ethnic group.
Ghachok is the one mountain village close to Pokhara valley . This village is a gate way to Machhapuchhre Model Trek. The place also serves as one of the main entry points to other trekking trails of Annapurna region. Ghachok village hiking is one of the paradises of Nepal begins form Hemja (Milan Chock Pokhara), about 30 min drive from beautiful lake city of Pokhara. From this village we can see beautiful views of landscape and close view of Annapurna Mountain range as well as the clear view of Fishtail Mountain.
<p>Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara about 5 hours by private car or by touristic bus of by local flight (30 min). Sightseen of the city, boat tour in the fewa lake, Devis fall Gupteswor cave, peace pagoda. Dinner in Lakeside in a local pub on the main road. Overnight at hotel.</p>
<p>Drive from north Pokhara to Hyangja near the Tibetan village of Tashi Palkhel, crossing the Mardi Khola river and reaching Lhachok, up to Ghachock village. Ghachock is a nice village walled by stones and traditional Gurung ethnic group. Overnight in lodge</p>
<p>Trek back to south trough Batulechaur until to reach Pokhara. Rest of the day to do some shopping or relax with a nice walking along the lake or a massage and a wellness treatment in a wellness area. Dinner in a restaurant along the lake. Overnight at hotel.</p>
<p>Drive back to Kathmandu and rest for lunch along the way. Arrival in the afternoon and time for shopping in Thamel or relax in the Garden of dreams or a cultural tour of the capital.</p>
<p>Transfer to the airport for flight to own destination.</p>
